Indirect Method Zinc Oxide Production and Uses

The indirect method zinc oxide raw materials is a smelting metal zinc ingot or zinc slag. Under the high temperature of 1000°C, zinc is converted to steam in the graphite crucible. Then produce zinc oxide by blowing air oxidation, and after cooling pipe collection was zno particles. The indirect method is founded in 1844 by French scientist leclerc (LeClaire) promotion, therefore is also called the French Method. The indirect method zinc oxide production technology is simple, the cost is strongly influenced by the raw material. Zinc oxide particles of about 0.1-10 microns in diameter, the purity of between 99.5% -99.7%. According to the output calculation, indirect method is one of the main production methods.

Indirect method zinc oxide uses: it can be used for rubber, varistors, paint, phosphating solution, films, thermal materials and other industries. Zinc ingot or the heavy metal content of zinc slag directly affect the heavy metal impurity content of product. Low heavy metal content of the products, can also be used for livestock feed, medicine, health care and other industries.
