Heavy Magnesium Carbonate VS Light Magnesium Carbonate

Magnesium carbonate can be divided into light & heavy magnesium carbonate, they have different definition and production process. As the domestic largest comprehensive enterprise of R&D, production, sales for magnesium salt compound, Meishen Technology has own more than 20 years experience, now we will have a detailed introduction for you.
The melting point of magnesium carbonate is about 2825 ℃, poorly soluble in water and organic solvents, soluble in acid or ammonium salt solution, solubility increased in water due to the existence of carbon dioxide. After above 1000 ℃ high temperature burning, can be converted to crystal. When the temperature up to 1500 ℃ or above, it becomes dead burned magnesium oxide and sintered magnesium oxide. Secondly, it will generate into magnesium carbonate double salts after meeting carbon dioxide from the air.
Heavy magnesium carbonate is closely volume of white or yellowish powder, easy to combine with water. Dew put in the air, easy to absorb moisture and carbon dioxide in the air, and mixed with magnesium chloride solution easily gelation hardening.
Heavy magnesium carbonate is usually produced by directly calcining water magnesium quarry and magnesite. In general, the bulk density is 0.5 g/ml. But light magnesium carbonate is produced by magnesium sulfate, magnesium chloride or magnesium bicarbonate soluble into water, then through chemical method, and calcined into magnesium carbonate. Bulk density is small, usually is 0.2 g/ml. In addition, heavy magnesium carbonate is widely used in fiber glass steel, cement, etc. Light magnesium carbonate mainly as raw material of enamel, ceramic, refractory, refractory crucible. Also can be used as the filler of adhesive, polishing agent, paper, paint, or used as activator and promoter of neoprene.
