Generally speaking, magnesium oxide can be divided into light magnesium oxide and heavy magnesium oxide. And heavy magnesium oxide also can be divided into Light burned and Hard burned MgO. Such as when used for Building materials, it almost is light burned magnesium oxide. The biggest difference between the Light burned and Hard burned MgO is calcined temperature. Light burned MgO must be calcined at temperatures below 1200ºC, otherwise calcined temperatures above 1200ºC is called hard burned MgO.
As for the content of MgO below 70%, the country will only charge 5% of the tariff, without restricting exports. But magnesium oxide suppliers need supply testing qualified report with the Customs, which are submitted by commodity inspection center. The customs inspection rate is very high when magnesium oxide export use more than one voyage. Generally above 4 cases of magnesium oxide, inspection rate can reach above 80%.
The concrete operation process: bring the cases to inspection site, then prepare the information note and instructions of magnesium oxide, make an appointment with Customs to inspect and take samples. After inspection personnel taking the sample, then transferred to the customs laboratory to retest the content. According to related rules, customs laboratory test center need to complete within 10 working days, so you should wait patiently.
