The introduction of cable contained magnesium oxide
Cable contained magnesium oxide is a new type of cable which the outer layer is the insulation material, the middle is filled with magnesium oxide crystal powder, and used single-stranded copper rods as conductor. It is not only capable of high temperature, fire prevention, explosion proof, flame retardant, but also has the characters of large carrying capacity and small diameter, high mechanical strength, long service life, generally do not require a separate grounding conductor. Therefore, the cable contained magnesium oxide is widely used in environment of dangerous, harsh, high-temperature, such as nuclear power plants, metallurgical, chemical, mining, furnace, etc.
The advantages of cable contained magnesium oxide :
1.Overload protection ability
If the line is overloaded, as long as the temperature is not up to the melting point of copper, cable will not be damaged. Even momentary breakdown, magnesium oxide crystals will not form carbides. When overload is eliminated, the cable will not change, then it can continue to work correctly.
2.Completely fireproof
Cable contained magnesium oxide itself does not burn, and can run continuously for a long time in 250 ℃, when under the limit state temperature of 1000 ℃, it can be maintained for 30 minutes in normal operation , even it will not result in a fire.
3.Long service life
All cable contained magnesium oxide are made up of inorganic materials, therefore there is no insulation aging. The service life can be up to 3 times more than ordinary cable.
4.Good corrosion protection, explosion-proof performance
Due to use seamless copper tube as sheath, cable contained magnesium oxide has the performance to prevent violate of water, moisture, oil, and some chemicals.
